Coming Out of Vacation Mode…

We have been back from our AWESOME trip to Tampa, FL for an entire week now, and yet I still feel like I’m in vacation mode. It’s hard adjusting back to life of chores, bills, and daily life when you’ve been floating around in vacation mode. It’s even more difficult to come back to reality since we’ve made a 2-year plan to officially move there… More on that decision to come in a later post.

It’s a dreary, cloudy, cold day in the Midwest today, and I’m missing the Florida sunshine and salty air coming off of the Gulf of Mexico. Visit our family vacation one more time with me through some photos we took along the way… And maybe next week I will be back to posting normal stuff. 😉

  1. Glad it was such a great trip.
I think my boys would love Legoland. We have to get there soon.

    • Laura says:

They really would, Larry. I highly recommend it for the under 12 group of kids… especially if they love Legos like my son! There was only one ride in the entire park that my son wasn’t big enough to ride. Definitely kid-friendly, but still a lot of fun for us parents too! 🙂

      • We are striving to get down to Florida next February. My older son in particular is Lego Fanatic.
How many days did you spend there?

      • Laura says:

If you are there from open to close, you should be able to do it all in one day, unless you want to do the water park too (we didn’t, but it looked neat!). If you want to spend more than one day there, you should get the Season Passes… Free parking ($15 normally), 10% discount on food/retail shops and only I think $20/ticket more than a 1-day!

      • Thanks for the info.

    • Laura says:

If you, take a few Mini-figures (the little Lego guys) with you or buy the packs there, and all of the workers wear one on their name tags and will swap theirs for yours! Fun! My son started with a bride and a gypsy, and ended up with a race car driver and a police officer by the end of the day.

Legoland does look fun! Didn’t know they had one there.

    • Laura says:

It was so fun and kid-centered. He’s short for age 6, but could ride all rides except one! Some neat shows, tons of toy shops/food, characters walking around, etc. It’s about an hour outside of Tampa in a town called WinterHaven, FL. 🙂

  3. Glad to hear from you Laura and that you and your family had a great time too! 🙂 your boys are adorable in those pictures!
